"The Corn Grows Ripe" by Dorothy Rhoads Sumarry (Chapters 1-3)

Hello! In class we just read the book called "The Corn Grows Ripe" by Dorothy Rhoads. This book is about a Mayan boy named Tigre who lived in a village. In the beginning of the book Tigre was very lazy and did not do very much work but throught the book he strated to do a lot of work and understand how important it is to do all his responsibilities. Now I will write the summary of the book and put some pictures In this post I will include the summary of the book from Chapters 1-3.

Tigre lived with the Maya tribe. He was only 12 but he was expected to do hard jobs which were for men. Tigre did want to help his father but he overslept many times. His great Grandmother always scoleded him for being lazy. Then when Tigre did not go to work with his father, a tree fell on his father and he broke his lag. Now, Tigre has to go find a doctor to help his father and do all the work for his father.
